Hyderabad, Feb. 1 -- Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Sunday strongly defended the ongoing Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe into the alleged phone tapping case, asserting that the law is equal for all and there was no political motive behind the questioning of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR).

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Goud alleged that the BRS, which he termed "Blackmail Rashtra Samithi," had indulged in anarchic governance over the past ten years. He said phone tapping was a heinous crime and maintained that investigations were essential to bring out the truth.
