New Delhi, Dec. 28 -- Air quality across the National Capital Region (NCR) deteriorated once again on Sunday, with Greater Noida, Noida and Ghaziabad recording "severe" air quality levels, while Delhi remained on the brink of the category, according to the Central Pollution Control Board's (CPCB) daily national bulletin.

Greater Noida emerged as the worst-affected city in the country, with the air quality index (AQI) climbing to 434, up from 395 a day earlier. Neighbouring Noida and Ghaziabad also reported "severe" air quality, recording AQI levels of 414, slightly higher than Saturday's readings.
