Nahan, May 4 -- Amid strong public resentment and criticism from opposition parties over the Himachal government's decision to impose an entry fee in the Churdhar Wildlife Sanctuary, the Forest Department has issued a clarification.

Officials stated that the move is aimed at protecting the environment, managing waste, and improving facilities for visitors. Significantly, residents of nearby districts and devotees visiting the Chureshwar Mahadev Temple have been granted full exemption from the charges.
