London, Aug. 30 -- Tottenham Hotspur has completed the signing of Netherlands international Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig in a deal worth 60 million euros.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, one of Europe's most sought-after players this summer, said joining Spurs was something he had been dreaming of for a long time after passing his medical.

Simons was a standout performer at Leipzig, scoring 22 goals and providing 24 assists in 78 appearances. He first joined the Bundesliga club on loan from Paris St-Germain in 2023 before making the switch permanent in January this year.

On the international stage, Simons has already earned 28 caps for the Netherlands, scoring five goals since making his debut at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
