Shimla, Feb. 27 -- A total lunar eclipse would occur on March 3, coinciding with the full moon day of 12 Phalguna, 1947 Saka Era. The celestial event would be visible from most parts of India, barring a few locations in the extreme western region of the country .
According to the official release issued by the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, the eclipse will begin at 3:20 pm IST and conclude at 6:48 pm IST. The total phase of the eclipse will commence at 4:34 pm IST and end at 5:33 pm IST. The magnitude of the eclipse has been calculated at 1.155, indicating a deep total eclipse .
