Mexico City, Dec. 15 -- Mexico international winger Alexis Vega converted the decisive spot kick as Toluca clinched back-to-back Liga MX titles by beating Tigres UANL 9-8 on penalties.
Fernando Gorriaran struck early at Toluca's Nemesio Diez stadium to give Tigres UANL a 2-0 lead on aggregate in the Apertura final. But Toluca leveled the tie through goals either side of halftime from Helinho and Paulinho on Sunday.
