Mumbai, Sept. 10 -- A second woman has died from injuries sustained in the major fire that erupted at a 23-storey residential building in Shanti Nagar, Dahisar East, last Sunday.
The victim, identified as 40-year-old Madhu Patel, was undergoing treatment at Shatabdi Hospital where doctors declared her dead in the morning. This marks the second fatality in the incident, which initially claimed one life on the day of the fire itself.
According to information provided by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the fire accident resulted in injuries to 54 people.
