Vijayawada, Aug. 16 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for BC and EWS Welfare S Savitha has announced that mopeds will be given to the eligible toddy tappers.
The Minister participated in the 116 birth anniversary of freedom fighter Goutha Latchanna here on Saturday. She paid tribute to Gouthu Latcchanna by garlanding the portrait. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, she said that under the Aadarana 3.0 scheme, advanced equipment would be given to the artisans. The toddy tappers would also be given equipment to climb Palmyra tree to tap toddy. All the eligible toddy tappers will also be given mopeds to sell their products, she made it clear.
