PALGHAR , June 27 -- A 18-month-old toddler accidentally drowned into a bath tub in her house in Vasai area of this district of Maharashtra, rural police said on Wednesday night.
The Police PRO Hemant Katkar said in a statement that a case of accidental death had been registered
following the death with the Virar police station on Tuesday.
The police said the victim, who was identified as Avni Sonawane of Chandansar, was playing in the house while her mother stepped out of the house to dispose garbage. The child moved in the house and fell into bath tub which her mother had prepared for bathing her.
