Palakkad, Aug. 17 -- Two women were killed and five others injured from two families belonging to Tamil Nadu when their car rammed into a parked lorry at Walayar, in Palakkad-Coimbatore NH, on Sunday.
According to police, the deceased were identified as Malar (40) and Lavanya (40) of Ambattur near Chennai, while five others injured, including Lavanya's husband Sairam (48), Sairam's 8-year-old child and two children of driver Selvan (45), have been admitted to the district hospital here.
Later, the injured were shifted to a hospital at Coimbatore. The bodies of the women were kept at the district hospital here for post-mortem.
