Chennai, March 1 -- Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) today said it has achieved a significant milestone of the First Pour of Concrete (FPC) of Kaiga Units-5&6 after obtaining all requisite statutory and regulatory clearances.
Dr. Ajit Kumar Mohanty, Chairman, Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) & Secretary, Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Bhuwan Chandra Pathak, CMD, NPCIL and senior officers of NPCIL among other dignitaries were present on the occasion. FPC marks a defining milestone in a nuclear power project signifying start of construction and its transition from pre-project phase to construction phase.
