Dindigul (Tamil Nadu), April 20 -- The Government Railway Police (GRP) on Sunday seized eight kilograms of ganja from the Purulia-Tirunelveli Express train at Dindigul railway station.

Police said acting on specific information, the GRP personnel conducted searches in the coaches of the express train on arrival at Dindigul railway station from Purulia in West Bengal.

The narcotic substance packed in a bag was found abandoned in one of the coaches.

The GRP seized the ganja and are investigating to find out the narcotic peddlers who smuggled the substance. UNI GSM SS
