Chennai, April 24 -- After the shocking terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 tourists, several Tamil Nadu natives who were on a holiday trip to the region returned home safely to Chennai on Thursday.

The returned tourists expressed deep gratitude to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and the Tamil Nadu government for acting swiftly and ensuring their safe evacuation.

They were shifted from Pahalgam to Delhi and were accommodated at Tamil Nadu House where they were received by DMK MPs AKS Vijayan and Trichy N Siva and provided boarding and lodging facilities.

They were sent to Chennai by air today morning.
