Chennai, Sept. 21 -- With the Tamil Nadu government all set to srtip two greenfield commercialshipyards in the southern districts involving an investment of Rs 30,000 crore, Chief Minister M K Stalintoday said this would steer southern TN into the global map of shipbuilding.

In a post on X tagging on a new reports of two shipyards, offering jobs to over 55,000 people, wouldcome in the for which the state government has inked two MoUs, Mr Stalin said the Tamils proud artin ship building which found mention in Sangam-era songs, would now see setting up of two shipyardsin the southern Tuticorin district, involving an investment of Rs 30,000 crore and offering 55,000 jobs.
