Puducherry, April 8 -- Puducherry District Election Officer and District Collector Kulothungan on Wednesday said the Tamil Nadu-government owned TASMAC liquor shops situated upto a distance of five km from the union Territory, will be closed for three days on account of tomorrow polling to elect the 30-member Assembly.
Already the administration has declared a dry day for three days in Puducherry for the elections.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr.Kulothungan said as many as 78 flying squads, 40 stationary squads and 50 video monitoring teams were involved in poll duty.
Check posts were set up at 35 places in all areas bordering other states and as part of last minute monitoring, additional 36 flying squads and 30 two wheeler flying squad...
