Chennai, April 27 -- As Tamil Nadu has been sizzling under scorching heat, with more than 14 districts recording temperatures in excess of 100 Deg F and touching 107 Deg F mark during the last few days, the Met office on Monday said the mercury level would increase in the coming days, setting the stage for the peak summer season to intensify.

With the hot and humid weather would be causing great inconvenience, the Met office has advised the people to take all precautionary measures, avoid travelling during 1200 noon at 3.00 PM and take enough fluids at frequent intervals to avoid dehydration.
