Chennai, Sept. 21 -- The Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu,who also holds the Archaeology portfolio, today said TN has once again reaffirmedits place as the cradle of India's civilization.
The recent discovery of a terracotta sarcophagus in Kilnamandi, Tiruvannamalai,carbon-dated to 1692 BCE and accompanied by carnelian beads, iron tools, andgraffiti symbols linked to the Indus Valley Civilisation (IVC), is more than anarchaeological milestone, he said in X.
"It stands as a lasting testament to the brilliance of our ancestors, their masteryof art, trade, and global connections", he said.
