Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), March 4 -- In line with the assurance made by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin seeking Prime Minister Narendra Modi's intervention, the mechanized boat fishermen of Rameswaram, who were on an indefinite strike since February 24, to condemn the frequent arrests of Tamil Nadu fisherfolk and impounding of their boats by the Sri Lankan Navy, withdrew their stir on Tuesday evening, while cautioning to resort to a 'rail roko' agitation on March 21 and block the inaugural function of newly constructed Pamban railway bridge if the Central and State governments failed to address their grievances.
