Chennai, Oct. 10 -- The Department of Posts celebrated National Postal Week from October 6 to 10.
This included the World Post Day celebration on October 9, marking the Universal Postal Union's anniversary, under the theme"Post for People: Local Service Global Reach."The Tamil Nadu Postal Circle, a vast network with 11,815 Post Offices, highlighted its role in providing effective last-mileconnectivity, a PIB release said.
The Circle facilitates numerous citizen-centric services, including 1,457 Aadhaar Enrolment & Updation centres, 31 Post OfficePassport Seva Kendras, and 66 Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras.
