Chennai, Feb. 22 -- AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal on Sunday night held talks with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin on seat sharing issue ahead of formal talks with the panel formed by the National party.
Reports said, Mr Venugopa, who had airdashed to Chennai, met Mr Stalin at his residence and held talks in which Girish Chodankar, heading the AICC seat sharing panel and TNCC President K Selvaperunthgai took part.
During the talks, Mr Venugopal, who had already put to rest the oft-repeated demands raised by a section of the Congress leader on power sharing, stating that the party has no such idea, tonight's meeting assumed significance tht reports said had ensured smoother seat sharing talks.
