Chennai, March 27 -- The main Opposition AIADMK, heading the NDA for the April 23 Tamil Nadu Aseembly elections, on Friday announced its second list of 127 candidates, nominating 17 women, 11 former Ministers and two Ex-MPs.
With the AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, who is also the CM face of the NDA, has announced candidates for a total of 150 seats after releasing the first list of 23 candidates on March 25 in which there are no surprises as it retained the core of its senior leaders that included 20 former Ministers.
All were popular faces and party heavyweights having served as Ministers during the tenure of late AIADMK leader J Jayalalithaa and during the tenure of Mr Palaniswami. They would be contesting from seats, ...
