Chennai, Sept. 14 -- In a major breakthrough, the Crime Branch-CID (CB-CID) Wingof the Tamil Nadu police has unearthed a racket cheating public in the name of RBI andIridium sales and arrested 30 people in this connection last evening.
The arrests were made in Tamil Nadu and neighbouring states after conducting massiveraids, a CB-CID release said here today.
It said the CB-CID police has arrested a gang involved in defrauding the public by misusingthe name of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and luring victims with false claims of receivinghuge sums of money from abroad through the sale of iridium.
