Chennai, Oct. 7 -- Tamil Nadu has recorded 3,170 wild elephants in 2025, according tothe Elephant Population Estimation-2025 report released today.
The report, released by Forests and Khadi Minister R S Raja Kannappan today said thenumbers reflected the steady rise on the success of the government's conservation efforts.
As part of the Wildlife Week celebrations, the Minister released the latest report at theState Secretariat, announcing that Tamil Nadu is home to an estimated 3,170 wild elephants,a rise of 107 from the previous count of 3,063.
