Chennai, Jan. 30 -- Amid differences between the ruling DMK and the Raj Bhavan over a host of issues, Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi stirred a fresh row by questioning Chief Minister M K Stalin's decision to pay tributes to Father of Nation at the Government Museum premises instead of at the Gandhi Mandapam on his 77th death anniversary on Thursday.

Mr Ravi sought to know whether it makes any sense to do Gandhi memorial events--his birthday and martyrdom day--in a corner of a city museum.

Mr Ravi said his repeated requests to the Chief Minister to accord due to respect to the Father of the Nation and hold such events in a befitting manner at Gandhi Mandapam has met with stubborn refusal.
