Chennai, Feb. 10 -- The Tamil Nadu government will set up Pet Parks in Chennai andCoimbatore with private participation to create public awareness about safe pet ownershipand compassionate handling of animals.
The Tamil Nadu Animal Welfare Board on Tuesday invited applications in this regard, sayingany private charitable organization, Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) or Animal WelfareOrganization (AWO) with prior experience in this field will be selected, and land will be allottedto them through the Department of Animal Husbandry.
