Chennai, July 27 -- The Tamil Nadu government presented a memorandum to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on five key issues concerning the state, including release of due SSA funds, sanction
of Coimbatore and Madurai Metro Rail projects, resolving fishermen issue and granting new and implementing pending Railway projects.
The memorandum was handed over to Mr Modi, who is on a two-day visit to the State at the Trichy airport last night by Tamil Nadu Finance, Environment and Climate Change Minister Thangam Thennarasu, on his arrival from Tuticorin.
In Tuticorin, Mr Modi took part in an official function and inaugurated the new Airport Terminal building, launched developmental and infra projects to the tune of Rs 4,900 crores.
