Chennai, Dec. 18 -- In a major boost to industrial development in Tamil Nadu thatwould propel growth and create job opportunities, The Tamil Nadu goverment todaysigned a MoU with Schneider Electric Group to expand its manufacturing facilitiesat Chennai and Madurai, besides setting up a new facility at Hosur, involving aninvestment of Rs 718 crores.
Under the MoU signed in the presence of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin atthe State Secretariat, Schneider Electric India Private Ltd (SEIPL) would also setup a new green field facility to manufacture Batteries and Cooling Solutions bySchneider Electric IT Business India Pvt Ltd (SEITB)' at Hosur.
These expansion and new projects would offer jobs to 663 people.
