Chennai, Aug. 21 -- Tamil Nadu Minister of Finance and Environment and Climate Change,
Thangam Thennarasu participated in the meeting of the Group of Ministers on Life and Health
Insurance Services and the Group of Ministers on restructuring Compensation Cess held in
New Delhi yesterday and urged the Centre to protect TN's revenue in the anvil of Goods and
Services Tax (GST) rate rationalization announced recently.
An official release here today said the Minister termed the GST rates rationalization as a
welcome measure.
At the same time, the revenue of the states should be sufficiently safeguarded, the Minister
said in a detailed statement made at the meeting chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala
