Chennai, Oct. 15 -- Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Thangam Thenarasu today presentedthe First Supplementary Estimates for te year 2025-26 in the State Legislative Assemblyfor a sum of Rs.2,914.99 crore.
He also placed a detailed statement explaining the demands for Supplementary Grants onthe table of the House.
The Supplementary Estimates are being presented mainly to obtain the approval of theLegislature for expenditure on 'New Service' and 'New Instrument of Service' items whichhave been sanctioned since the presentation of Budget Estimates 2025-26 and to enablerecoupment for advances made from the Contingency Fund.
