Chennai, Feb. 10 -- Provding a lasting solution for the 63-year-old issue of poor and the downtrodden, the Tamil Nadu Cabinet headed by Chief Minister M K Stalin approved issuance
of land pattas to 86,000 poor and downtrodden people living in proromboke (unapproved) lands
and formed two committees to implement this in six months.
This would benefit 29,187 people living in poromboke lands in 'belt areas' in Chennai and
surrounding districts and 57,084 people living in Corporation, Municipalities and district
headquarters including Madurai and Tirunelveli.
The State Cabinet today approved issuance of pattas to 86,000 people, Mr Stalin said in a
