Chennai, Oct. 16 -- Already on loggerheads with the Raj Bhavan over a host of issues,the Tamil Nadu Assembly today dopted a resoluton moved by Chief Minister M K Stalin,rejecting the opinion of Governor R N Ravi on the TN Siddha Medical University Bill, 2025.
The resolution was adopted unanimously after Mr Stalin spoke on it reasoning why theopinion of the Governor was rejected.
Soon after Health Minister Ma. Subramanian introduced the Tamil Nadu Siddha MedicalUniversity Bill, 2025 in the House, Mr Stalin moved the resolution, saying the Bill fallsunder the ambit of a Financial Bill that mandates receipt of recommendations from theGovernor as per Article 207 (3) of the Constitution.
