Sivaganga, March 21 -- A 23-year-old rowdy-sheeter was hacked to death by a gang in a revenge killing at Karaikudi in Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu on Friday.
Police said the deceased, identified as Manoj Kumar, was going to Karaikudi North police station to appear before the cops and put his signature as per the conditional bail granted to him by a court in connection with a murder case.
When he was riding a motorcycle along with his two associates on the 100-feet road, a gang which came in a car waylaid them and attacked Manoj Kumar with sickles, killing him on the spot while two of his associates escaped with minor injuries in the attack.
The body was removed to the government hospital for post-mortem.
