TN: Customs officials seize electronic goods from passenger at Madurai airport

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), March 25 -- The officers of Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of Customs department seized smuggled electronic goods worth Rs 11.64 lakhs from a passenger at Madurai airport on Tuesday. Tiruchirapalli Customs (Preventive) Commissionerate in a post on X, said based on specific information, the officers of AIU, Madurai airport intercepted a passenger arrived from Dubai in a SpiceJet flight and on examination of his checked-in-baggage, the electronic goods including five laptops and drones worth Rs 11,64,000 were recovered.
