New Delhi, Aug. 25 -- The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has arrested a Trinamool Congress MLA on Monday after conducting searches at his residence in connection with the alleged SSC (Asst Teacher) recruitment scam, sources said.
According to sources, Jiban Krishna Saha tried to escape the ED team allegedly trying to jump from first floorand then scaling the wall, but he was caught by the anti- money laundering agency team.
The searches were conducted at his premises in West Bengal's Murshidabad district over his alleged involvement in the alleged corruption matter.
Sources say that the search operation went on for a couple of hours prior to the arrest.
