Kolkata, Aug. 12 -- : A Trinamool Congress (TMC) booth convener was gunned down in Chakai village under Sonamukhi police station limits in West Bengal's Bankura district late yesterday night.
The victim, identified as Sikander Khan alias Sayan Khan, was returning home from Pakhanna Bazar on his motorbike when unidentified assailants attacked him from behind.
Police said he was shot multiple times, including in the back and head, and died instantly. The attackers fled the scene before officers from Sonamukhi police station arrived.
