Chennai, Feb. 4 -- One of the oldest private banks, Tamilnad Mercantile Bank today said it closed the third quarter of FY26 with a higher income and profit.
The bank said for the quarter ended 31 December 2025 it had earned a total income of Rs.1,665.42 crore (Rs.1,519.94 crore) and an after tax profit of Rs.341.50 crore (Rs.300.24 crore).
During the quarter under review, the bank's gross net performing assets (NPA) and the net NPA came down.
As on 31 Dec 2025 the GNPA stood at Rs.462.83 crore (as on 31 Dec 2024 Rs.576.38 crore) and NPA Rs.100.08 crore (Rs.177.59 crore).
