Kolkata, April 25 -- Titagarh Rail Systems Limited (TRSL) in collaboration with Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) on Friday inaugurated the dedicated production line for the Vande Bharat sleeper trains at TRSL's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Uttarpara near here.
The production line was inaugurated by senior leaders from TRSL and BHEL, including Umesh Chowdhary, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, TRSL, and Bani Varma, Director, BHEL.
The production line has been set up by TRSL, following the award of a contract by Indian Railways to design and manufacture 80 Vande Bharat Sleeper train sets under a consortium between TRSL & BHEL.
