Tirupati, Jan. 5 -- : TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal on Monday instructed officials to take necessary steps to conduct sacred 'Harathi' programmes in Amaravati, as per the directions of the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Amaravati, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, is a village located on the banks of the Krishna river.
Singhal, who conducted a review meeting with senior TTD officials here, directed the officials to constitute a committee to study and prepare a report on the sacred 'Harathi' programmes being conducted at various places, including Kashi on the banks of the River Ganga and Ujjain, among other locations.
