Tirumala, Sept. 19 -- In a id to protect the sanctity of Tirumala and provide hassle-free darshan to common devotees, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is engaged in hectic preparations for the ensuing annual brahmotsavams, asserted its Executive officer Anil Kumar Singhal here today.
Singhal said civil engineering works Rs. 9.5 crore and electric illumination works Rs. 5.50 crore have been sanctioned for the festival, beginning from September 24.
Flower decorations were undertaken with a cost of Rs. 3.50 crore, and 60 tonnes of flowers were being used.
