Chennai, Oct. 2 -- Tens and hundreds of tiny tots across Tamil Nadu were initiated intothe world of letters, as part of Vidyarambam on the occasion of Vijayadasami, beingcelebrated as day after Saraswtahi Pooja, the Goddess of Learning.
Parents along with their tiny tots thronged various temples and initiated them into the worldof knowledge by writing the first word using the kids finger in paddy grains after offering specialprayers.
A large number of people thronged the Koothanur Saraswathi Temple in Thanjavur districtand initiated their children into the world of letters.
Similar crowds were seen in several temples, including at Lord Ayyappa Temples in Chennai.
