Bhubaneswar, May 28 -- Menstruation-a natural biological process-has long been cloaked in taboo, forcing generations of women to suffer in silence. "It's time we break this silence," said Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida on Wednesday. Inaugurating a Conclave on Menstrual Health and Hygiene in Bhubaneswar, Parida-who also heads the Women and Child Development Department-emphasised the need for societal transformation around menstruation.
