Mumbai, Dec. 5 -- Even as the city is still unsettled by the death of tiger Shakti at the Byculla Zoo (Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan), another shocking revelation has come to light - yet another tiger at the zoo has reportedly died.
This second incident, too, is suspected to have been concealed by the zoo administration.
BJP South Mumbai general secretary Nitin Bankar said here on Friday that a tiger at the zoo had died in October itself, but the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) made the disclosure almost two months later.
He has questioned why the death was kept under wraps for so long and has demanded a high-level inquiry from the Municipal Commissioner.
