Thrissur has turned into hub of bogus voting: Binoy Viswam
Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 12 -- Kerala CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam has alleged that Thrissur, once hailed as the cultural and festival capital of the state, has been turned by the BJP into a hub of political deceit and bogus voting.
He said, "Reports from across the country indicate that the Election Commission is acting as an agent of the ruling party at the Centre, which he described as extremely alarming and a threat to the very foundation of democracy."
In Bihar, without consulting political parties, a large-scale revision of the voter list was carried out, resulting in the disenfranchisement of 6.5 million citizens, a move he claimed was clearly politically motivated.
