Thrissur, May 6 -- Thrisssur Pooram, the parading of caparisoned elephants, sought after percussion ensembles and colourful fireworks, kicked off on Tuesday morning in its full glory and majesty.
Thekkinkadu Maidan in the heart of Thrissur city witnessed hundreds of people for the
awe-inspiring event, which is labelled as Mother of all Poorams.
The main participants in the 30-hour festival are the deities from Paramekavu
and Thirumvambadi temples. Eight other temples are also participating in the festival.
