Mumbai, May 20 -- The police in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district announced on Tuesday that they have arrested three women Naxalites and detained two minors from the Binagunda area in the Bhamragarh subdivision in a joint counter-offensive campaign with the Central Reserve Police Force. They were collectively carried a reward of Rs 36 lakh on their heads, officials said.

According to the information received by the police, the Maoists were preparing to carry out an ambush at important places in Gadchiroli.
