Hazaribagh, July 10 -- Three villagers walking along the roadside with their cattle were mowed down by a speeding Bolero in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh district today.
The incident occurred on the Jhumra-Medhkuri main road under Daru police station limits.
According to police, the accident took place near the Sevane river. Two of the victims died on the spot, while the third succumbed to injuries on the way to the hospital.
The deceased have been identified as Basudev Yadav (60) of Amli village, Ramsevak Mehta (50) of Ghaghra village, and Tulsi Mehta, all residents of Medhkuri panchayat area.
Local villagers said the victims were headed towards Jhumra when the Bolero hit them from behind.
