Thane, Oct. 24 -- A fire broke out in the early hours today, damaging three commercial stalls in Thane's Diva area.
The blaze occurred at storage units in Jivdani Nagar, and while property losses were reported, no casualties or injuries occurred, according to municipal officials.
Yasin Tadvi, Chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) Disaster Management Cell, said the fire control room received a call at 3:07 am. The affected stalls were being used to store Plaster of Paris idols, which were destroyed in the fire.
Fire brigade teams rushed to the spot, assisted by technicians from the local electricity supply company to manage electrical hazards during firefighting operations.
