Samastipur, April 6 -- In a tragic incident, three minor brothers drowned in the Kareh river near Bariyahi Ghat under Hathauri police station area here today.
Police sources said the three siblings had gone to the river for a bath when they were swept away by the strong current.
Police said that the teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) reached the spot and launched a search operation. With the help of divers, all three bodies were recovered late in the evening.
