Prayagraj, Aug. 19 -- Three people were shot dead in two separate incidents in the George Town area of Dhoomanganj in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Monday.
Two groups entered into an altercation over a road at around 2100 hrs on Sunday night in the Dhoomanganj area. As the argument heated up, one of the groups opened fire leading to the death of one Amit Kumar Paswan (40) and Ravi Shankar Yadav (35) whereas two others were injured. The injured have been admitted to a hospital.
Following the incident, police force has been deployed in the region as a precautionary measure. A case against four people, including a father-son duo, has been registered in the matter and police is on the lookout for the accused.
