Kaushambi (UP), Dec. 6 -- Three people were on Saturday sentenced to life imprisonment with a fine of Rs 40,000 each by a local court in Kaushambi district in Uttar Pradesh for the rape and murder of a woman, prosecution sources said.
Prosecution sources said the plaintiff filed a complaint at the West Sharira police station on March 26, 2022, stating that his wife had been murdered by unidentified assailants by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. "Police registered a report under Indian Penal Code and initiated an investigation," they said.
